Twelve cultivars awarded annually. The Award of Merit is awarded to a cultivar that has been registered for three or more years and have demonstrated excellent quality and performance over a wide geographical area. To be eligable for the AM, a cultivar must have received the Honorable Mention Award a minimum of three years previously. It will remain eligible for three years.
